Be Still My Heart: Amber and Sean
They carved their initials into a tree. I could probably just stop right there. How great and teenagers-in-love is that? Granted, they weren’t teenagers, and it’s in fact a tradition that Amber’s dad started, which his children have since carried on (with their soulmates), by carving their initials into the same tree at Ken Lockwood Gorge. When Sean was proposing, he knew that there was no other place that would be more appropriate for the occasion.
Fast forward from the “she-said-yes” picturesque proposal, to the evening that honored their love; the NinetyThree Entertainment Event Team, and Artem Lomaz were at The Cork Factory Hotel to help Sean and Amber celebrate with their guests. The accommodating staff assisted us in taking their guests from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, the reception, and the surprise sparkler exit! Even though the day started with some raindrops, Sean and Amber remained calm and unfazed. Calmness and serenity seem to be a running theme in their relationship. After grabbing some umbrellas and posing for some incredible photos, captured by the exceptionally talented Brianna Wilbur, it was off to the ceremony to make it official!
The celebration’s personalized elements were on display early as the ceremony’s processional featured a custom song edit created by the groom, immediately taking guests out of the “been there, done that” wedding season mentality. As the evening progressed, we installed a photo booth during cocktail hour, coordinated on lighting design, and prepared everyone for the evening’s final surprise – a superb sparkler exit! Remember that pesky rain that I had mentioned taking place earlier in the day – totally gone for Sean and Amber’s finale! Oh, and there was also an awesome Method Man/Mary J. Blige inspired toast, courtesy of Sean’s groomsmen. A rainy, grey, and foggy day can turn into a magical evening when you’re surrounded by your closest friends and family.
